ABOUT

I am Aleksandra Walker - a creative portrait photographer, a business owner, and founder of STORYTREND Production.

Photography was my long time passion since I was 16. I had a film camera and developed photos in a dark room. Since then my passion stayed with me and in December 2009 I started my journey as a professional photographer. Storytrend Production was founded shortly after.

Before I started Storytrend photo and video production company, I had a 15-year career in marketing and advertising working as a brand manager and marketing director in Europe and Dubai, UAE. My main focus was creating, promoting, and developing brands for big-name corporations, small businesses, startups, and solo entrepreneurs. I hold 3 degrees – Masters in Psychology, Professional Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, and MBA from London Business School.

Prior to moving to Sydney in 2018, I was living in Dubai for 13 years, where I have been mastering my photography skills for a decade. I gained tremendous experience by working with professionals in the advertising and fashion industries, shooting for magazine covers, editorials and interviews, working behind the stage of advertising campaign sets with market top photographers and videographers. I've also photographed hundreds of women, men, C-level executives, and companies. My Personal Branding work was published in FORBES, ELLE, and various business newspapers and magazines. 
 

Combined with my Masters in psychology, working with people from all corners of the World, I developed a deep understanding of human nature and visual storytelling through photography and videography.

My photography style is close to Fashion Editorial. I love editorial photographs as they always illustrate a story. Fashion photographs are about a lifestyle. Combined together, they become fashion editorials for magazines that depict a theme without words and is more about representing a mood.
